Uganda Forward John Paul Dembe Finds New Home

Transfers :Ugandan Forward John Paul Dembe Finds New Home!

Twenty-year-old Ugandan forward John Paul Dembe has completed his move to Czech Republic Chance Liga side Sigma Olomouc SK from Swedish side Haken Bollklubben. SK Sigma Olomouc is a Czech professional football club based in the city of Olomouc, currently competing in the Czech First League, the first tier of Czech football.

Dembe, a prolific goal-scorer, joined Haken Bollklubben from KCCA FC in 2023 and had a stint on loan at Oddevold.

During his time at Haken Bollklubben, he made a significant impact, helping the team win the 2024-25 Swedish Cup and qualifying for the UEFA Conference League group stages.

He also impressed with the Uganda U20 National team, scoring seven goals for the Uganda Hippos.

With his impressive track record, Dembe is expected to add firepower to Sigma Olomouc SK’s attack. His experience in the Swedish top league and international matches will undoubtedly be a valuable asset to the team.

“I’m happy that I can now be a player for Sigma. I’m already excited, even though I know new teammates and will join training. I’m thrilled that after me the club has such ambitions, which Sigma has. It is an important step in my career,” said Dembe. “My goal is to work hard on myself, further improve and help the team play better, as they will be able to. I believe we will be successful together.”

Sigma representative praised Dembe, saying: “It’s an interesting player who fulfills our expectations. Despite his young age, he already has experience from the Swedish top league and international matches.”

Sigma Olomouc SK, currently sitting eighth on the table in the Czech Republic Chance Liga with 27 points from 19 matches, will be looking to Dembe to boost their chances of climbing up the league table.
