Police FC Edge Entebbe UPPC 2-0, Take Top Spot in StarTimes Uganda Premier League

The StarTimes Uganda Premier League got underway today with two thrilling matches, and Police FC emerged victorious, defeating Entebbe UPPC FC 2-0 at the Bugonga Fisheries Ground in Entebbe.

Lawrence Tezikya’s 32nd-minute strike gave Police FC the lead, capitalizing on a mistake from Entebbe UPPC FC goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa.

The visitors sealed their win with a late goal from Shakur Jemba Ramsey in the 83rd minute, securing a 2-0 victory.

This win marks Police FC’s third consecutive victory, and they now sit atop the table with 14 points from seven rounds.

Coach Matia Lule’s side will look to maintain their winning streak when they host Kitara FC at the Kira Road Police Arena on November 27th.

Entebbe UPPC FC, on the other hand, have suffered their fourth defeat of the season and currently occupy fourth place with 10 points from eight rounds. Coach Abdallah Mubiru’s side will look to bounce back when they face BUL FC away on November 27th.

Calvary FC’s Winless Run Continues

In the other match, Calvary Midigo FC’s winless streak extended to six matches as they lost 1-0 to UPDF FC at home.

Emmanuel Ochen’s 11th-minute strike was enough for UPDF FC to secure the three points.

UPDF FC now sit 13th on the table with six points from six rounds and will return to action on November 25th.

Calvary FC, meanwhile, have picked just one point from their last six matches, a 0-0 draw against Maroons FC
