The Finance Trust FUFA Women’s Super League saw three thrilling matches today, with Kawempe Muslim LFC and She Corporate FC emerging victorious.

Nabukenya’s Brace Sinks She Maroons

At Kawempe Muslim playground, hosts Kawempe Muslim LFC defeated She Maroons Football Club 2-0. Nabukenya Agnes scored her first brace of the season, netting both goals in the 21st and 39th minutes. The penalty kick goal showcased her exceptional skill and composure.

Nabukenya’s impressive performance earned her the Woman of the Match award for the second time this season. She now has three goals to her name this season.

She Maroons’ Struggles Continue

Despite a 5-0 thrashing of Asubo Ladies FC in their opening fixture, She Maroons FC have now gone four matches without a win. The loss sees them drop to seventh place on the table with five points from five matches.

Kawempe Muslim LFC, on the other hand, remains unbeaten in five matches, sitting second on the table with 13 points.

Namanda’s Late Strike Wins it for She Corporate

In Masindi, She Corporate FC secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Lady Doves FC at Katusabe Stadium. Last season’s top scorer, Resty Kobusobozi, gave Lady Doves FC the lead in the 14th minute. However, Leticia Nakyeyune equalized for She Corporate FC in the 31st minute.

The match seemed destined for a draw until Jesca Namanda scored the winning goal in the 90+4th minute, securing all three points for She Corporate FC. Namanda now has four goals in five matches.

She Corporate FC Tops the Table

With this win, She Corporate FC remains unbeaten in the first five matches, sitting atop the table with 13 points, ahead of Kawempe Muslim LFC on goal difference.
