Transfers: Defender Ngoobi Derrick Finds New Home .

Currently competing in the Rwanda National Primus League, Gasogi United have welcomed former Express FC defender Ngoobi Derrick to their ranks on a one-year deal. Derrick, no stranger to the international scene, brings adaptability and experience to the team, having previously played for Kenya’s Sofapaka FC.

The defender’s ability to adjust to new environments will be a big plus for Gasogi, and with Coach Sashaj Romeo at the helm, he’s likely to fit right in. Fellow Ugandan Douglas Owori, a forward, is already part of the squad, adding to the team’s East African flavor.

Derrick’s footballing journey took him from Answar Muslim High School, where he was coached by Kaweesa Richard, to Kawempe Muslim High School, and eventually Standard High School, where he honed his skills in National Post Primary tournaments. He’s also represented Soltilo Bright Stars FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier league and Bulemeezi Ssaza FC in the Masaza Cup.

Gasogi United’s next challenge is hosting reigning champions APR FC on the 4th of next month, and with Derrick on board, they’re looking more solid than ever
