Kalanda Frank helped Entebbe UPPC Football Club earn promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League from the FUFA Big League last season, and his impressive performances caught the eye of Kiyinda Boys’ management.

He has been training with the team for a month and is expected to sign a contract soon as the transfer window opens.

Kalanda Frank, a former URA Football Club and Uganda Cranes forward, is expected to bolster Kiyinda Boys’ attack, which has been led by defender Jimmy Ndalambi, who was recently converted into a forward.

The team, currently 13th on the table with 12 points from 12 matches, is battling relegation and will hope to turn their fortunes around with Kalanda Frank on board.

Kiyinda Boys Football Club is currently under the stewardship of Coach Emmy Kisakye, who replaced the sacked Cemari James.

Kalanda Frank, known for his prowess in front of goal, has featured for several clubs locally, including Jinja-based BUL Football Club, Police FC, Express Football Club (for two stints) Arua HillSC, Rwanda Primus National League entities Rayon Sports and AS Kigali, and St. Mary’s Football Club Nabweru in the Kampala Region League.

The experienced forward is expected to bring much-needed expertise to Kiyinda Boys’ attack, and fans are eagerly awaiting his debut.

Kiyinda Boys Football Club lost their forward Ambrose Kigozi to the new Uganda Premier League entrants Entebbe UPPC who netted 13 league goals last season in the FUFA Big League.
