Kisugu United FC Parts Ways With Their Head Coach Amidst Poor Run of Results

In a shocking move, Kisugu United Football Club has become the first team to sack their head coach in the Kampala Region League’s new format, parting ways with Mr. Magala Yassir.

The decision comes after a string of disappointing results, culminating in a 3-2 defeat to PCCP FC at home yesterday. In a statement, the club expressed their gratitude to Yassir for his role in rebuilding the team, wishing him all the best in his future endeavors.

Kisugu United FC’s season got off to a rocky start, losing 2-0 to Mbogo UTD FC in their opening match at FUFA Kadiba Stadium. However, they bounced back with their first victory of the season, courtesy of Mike Abura’s lone strike, defeating Ntinda United FC 1-0 at Coffee grounds Bugolobi.

The team then shared spoils with Lufula SC 1-1, before Abura struck again from a free kick to secure a 1-0 win over Wembley Boys.

Their fortunes took a turn for the worse, however, as they suffered a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Coach Sharifa Nantumbwe’s Edgars FC at Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium.

The 3-2 defeat to PCCP FC proved to be the final nail in the coffin, with the team’s poor run of results ultimately costing Yassir Magala his job.

During his tenure, Magala managed six matches, securing two wins, one draw, and three losses, accumulating five points, with a win in the Kampala Region League new format equivalent to two points.

The departure of Yassir Magala marks a significant shake-up in the Kisugu United FC camp, with the team now looking to regroup and recover from this setback.

As they search for a new head coach, the club will be hoping to inject some much-needed stability and spark into their campaign.

With the Kampala Region League heating up, Kisugu United FC cannot afford to dwell on this setback for too long.
