COMMONWEALTH GAMES UPDATE: TEAM UGANDA’S SCHEDULE TODAY

It is a busy day for Team Uganda at the Commonwealth Games as Ugandans were scheduled to be in action across Athletics, Netball, Boxing, 3×3 Basketball, and Swimming.
In Athletics at EDF Scotstoun Stadium, Maureen Akiiki and Shida Leni would compete in the Women’s 400m Round 1 at 12.30pm EAT.
Haron Adoli and Eric Okwi were also due to feature in the Men’s 400m at 2.00pm EAT, while Oscar Chelimo, Samuel Simba Cherop and Dan Kibet were lined up for the Men’s 10,000m Final at 10.25pm EAT.
In Netball at The Hydro, Uganda would take on New Zealand at 9.00pm EAT.
In Boxing at the Scottish Events Centre, Emily Nakalema was scheduled to face Australia’s Eve Elizabeth Bryson in the Women’s Welterweight 65kgs Quarterfinal at 9.15pm EAT, and Nuhu Batte was set to battle England’s Patris Mughalzai in the Men’s Welterweight 65kgs Quarterfinal at 10.15pm EAT.
In Women’s 3×3 Basketball, Uganda would play Tonga in a Pre-Semifinal Playoff at 9.30pm EAT at the Scottish Events Centre.
In Swimming at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Tendo Kaumi and Jesse Ssengonzi were down for the 50m Butterfly heats at 1.02pm and 1.13pm EAT respectively. Kirabo Namutebi and Gloria Muzito were both set for the 50m Freestyle heats at 1.29pm EAT, Jordan Samula was to compete in the 200m Breaststroke heats at 1.40pm EAT, and the Mixed 4x100m Medley Relay heats were slated for 2.30pm EAT.
