Joseph Dhata Joins South Sudan Premier League Side

Transfers are heating up across East Africa, and South Sudan Premier League side Jamus SC have made a statement addition. Joseph Dhata Lujang has completed his move to Jamus SC from NEC Football Club, becoming the club’s sixth signing of this transfer window.
Joseph Dhata has signed a two-year employment contract and he will reunite with Geriga Atendele, both of whom featured for NEC FC before.

That existing chemistry could help him settle quickly in Juba as Jamus build a squad capable of competing domestically and in continental competitions.
Joseph Dhata becomes the sixth signing for Jamus SC in this transfer window. The club is clearly targeting experience and proven quality, and Dhata’s arrival adds both depth and leadership to their defensive ranks.

During his debut season at NEC Football Club, Joseph Dhata finished as the Topscorer of the Stanbic Uganda Cup 2024 despite his side losing the finals to Kitara Football Club 1-0 at the Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium. For a right back to lead his team in goals during a cup run speaks to his attacking threat and ability to step up in big moments.
Joseph Dhata Lujang features for the South Sudan National Team, and he also featured for Vipers SC and Express Football Club in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League. Those stints gave him exposure to title races, continental football, and the pressure of playing for two of Uganda’s biggest clubs.

Dhata Lujang Joseph, the roving right back, has the ability to cross the ball, long passing range, good defending, and ability to score goals. He brings an attacking dimension from fullback that will suit Jamus SC’s ambitions, while his defensive discipline ensures balance.
