Former Kyadondo Manager Mugisha Urges Fans To Trust The Team Amid Poor Run
Former Kyadondo manager Joseph Mugisha has called on fans to remain patient and back the team, insisting performances have been better than results suggest.
Speaking after Kyadondo’s 1-1 draw with Buvuma, Mugisha addressed the team’s struggles:
“Football is a game of mistakes, but everyone has seen that this Kyadondo team played well. We added new players and they have brought quality to the team. We did not win simply because of mistakes, but I hope we can win our next matches because we are creating enough chances.”
Kyadondo have struggled for consistency in the Bulange Group. After six matches, they have 1 win, 4 draws, and 1 loss, leaving them 5th on 7 points.
Bulange Group standings:
Buddu lead with 14 points, followed by Busujju on 10 points. Buvuma and Buweekula are tied on 8 points, with Kyadondo in 5th on 7 points. Four matches remain.
The team will look to bounce back when they host Buweekula at the Santana Ground in Wampewo this Sunday, August 9. It is a replay of their 0-0 draw in Mubende in June.
Kyadondo reinforced their squad ahead of the second round with four new signings. Sam Ssemuggu scored on his debut against Buvuma, while Ambrose Kirya and Pius Kaggwa also impressed. Peter Ssenkungu, who captained Bulemeezi to the 2023 title, did not feature in the last match.
