URA FC SIGN MARVIN NYANZI FROM EXPRESS FC ON TWO-YEAR DEAL

URA FC have announced the signing of attacking midfielder Marvin Nyanzi from Express FC on a two-year contract.
Nyanzi becomes the Tax Collectors’ third signing of the window, joining Muhammad Kyeyune and Elvis Ssekajugo as head coach Jimmy Kintu Mwera continues to reshape the squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The creative midfielder is known for his composure, vision and ability to unlock defenses in the final third. URA believe his technical quality and eye for a killer pass will add a new dimension to their attack.
The move also reunites Nyanzi with Coach Kintu, who he previously worked under at Express FC.
What Nyanzi said
Speaking to URA media after putting pen to paper, the 24-year-old said the decision was an easy one.
“It was an easy decision for me because I have previously worked with Coach Jimmy Kintu. I know what he expects from his players, and I believe this is the right environment for me to continue growing and contributing to the team.”
Nyanzi also set his sights on silverware with the four-time Uganda Premier League champions.
“URA is a big team with big ambitions, and I am here to work hard and give my best. We want to win something, and I believe that with hard work, commitment and unity, we can achieve that. I just can’t wait to get started.”
Career so far
Before joining the Tax Collectors, Nyanzi featured for Wakiso Giants and Kitara FC, and most recently Express FC, where he built a reputation as a technically gifted advanced midfielder.
URA are confident his calmness in possession, creativity and prior relationship with Kintu will help him settle quickly as the club undergoes a major rebuild.
