Top 50 Referees To Officiate UPL 2025-26 Season.
Federation of Uganda Football Associations FUFA has confirmed a list of top 50 referees who will officiate the Startimes Uganda Premier league season in abid to ensure High quality match officiation.

New the new reforms to improve the officiating standards of referees in the upcoming season there was a 35% increment in allowances for referees from UGX 322M in the 2024-25 season to UGX 432M for the upcoming .
Each referee in the UPL will earn up to UGX 500,000 per match in allowances.

It should be noted all the eight regions must have referees to represent them in apex of Ugandan football that’s the UPL.
It’s automatic all the 18 FIFA Certified referees must appear on the list and notable names include FIFA Elite A referee Shamirah Nabadda, Lucky Razake Kasalirwe and William Oloya . Katenya Ronald and Emmanuel Okudra among the assistants .

Habib Naigaga is the only FIFA referee missing on the list after sustaining an injury in the MA Course held at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru few months ago.
On this list eight regions will represent by 37 referees and possessing a National badge.

Among the FIFA referees last season Dick Okello had the most number of games 22 last season in the Startimes Uganda Premier league.

Kampala Region: Referees
Constant in the six years Asadu Ssemere is the referee named this list from Kampala region specific from Nakawa DFA together with teacher by profession Kimayo Stephen Masaya and a calm gentleman Masembe Joseph.

Musisi Henry ‘Zagaro and Ssemakula John Patrick both are from Makindye DFA
Second time appearing on this Miro Ibrahim will represent Kawempe DFA while Nantongo Rachel Josephine is the on female referee from Kampala Region on this list specific from Rubaga DFA.

And this implies Kampala Region will be represented by seven referees.
Ssemere Asadu officiated 17 matches most by Kampala region referee, Kimayo Stephen Masaya 12 matches, Masembe Joseph 8 while Musisi Henry 6 matches.

Lubwama Ivan and Lubwama both are from Kawempe DFA together with Babra Nayebare the only female assistant referee from Kampala Region on this list .
Two experienced assistant referees Mustafa Mafumo and Mbabali Samuel from Makindye DFA and Rubaga respectively have been retained on this list.

These two are among the most experienced assistant referees in Uganda currently.
Kampala Region will be represented by 5 assistant referees .

Nasser Muhammad Kirya ‘Zurich’ from Buikwe DFA ranked as Buganda’s number one currently after the departure of Kavuma Vincent is flew out the country for unspecified reasons.

Nasser officiated 15 matches last season in the Startimes Uganda Premier league.
Climbing ranks, Kikabi Ronald Qualified just years ago made his Uganda Premier League as Mbale Heroes FC took on Express FC last season at Mbale Municipal Stadium.

In his debut Uganda Premier League season 2024/25 Kikabi was involved in seven matches four as a referee while three as the fourth official.
Jjumba Solomon from Wakiso DFA completes the list of referees from Buganda Region and he officiated nine matches.

Buganda will be represented by one assistant referee Azed Mironso from Mukono DFA.

Defined all odds named named as the Local Football Appreciations Awards best Referee Dan Outek Moses Uhuru will continue to represent his region.
