The Hamz Cup Round Of 16 Intensifies As Kafumbe United Takes On Shan David’s.

After the first two fixtures of the last 16 brought continued excitement to date, the tournament is set to intensify with a big fixture between Kafumbe United and Shan David’s FC from Entebbe.

The fixture, scheduled for Thursday, September 10, kicking off at 4:00 PM, is expected to bring full excitement as both teams hope to assemble lineups that include highly talented players.

Kafumbe United, under coach Steven Kyakusuuta ‘Coach Messi’, will rely on a full squad as they have high hopes that prolific striker Benon Lutaaya will lead them in the match. However, Shan David’s will be led by Viany Benon Kigenyi, though they are expected to miss playmaker Geoffrey Ssenyonga through injury.

Speaking about the team’s status in camp, Coach Messi vowed not to settle for less:

“We have prepared ourselves well, every player is in good shape and we are fully supported by our boss, Manager Kayongo Fashions. We are in tomorrow’s game only to qualify for the quarterfinals.”

At the group stage, Kafumbe United collected maximum points from three games while Shan David’s collected only four points from three games. Despite that, in the first two Round of 16 matches, the runners-up stood superior as Nurmak Life Team beat Mutaasa Kafeero 3-1 while Born Talent defeated Arsenal Fans UG 1-0.

However, Arsenal Fans UG petitioned three Born Talent players for being ineligible to feature in the tournament and they are waiting for the ruling from the organizing committee.

Meanwhile, September 10 will have two fixtures, with the other one scheduled to kick off at 7:00 PM as Tororo Boys take on Namuramba/Ndaiga Football Club.
