NEC FC Confirms Venue For CAF Confederations Cup Preliminary Round.
Bugolobi based side National Enterprise Corporation (NEC Football Club) will host their Confederation Of African Football Confederation Cup match(es) at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium.

This is after their home ground, the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo wasn’t sanctioned by Confederation Of African Football to host Continental games .
Hamz stadium Nakivubo became the third CAF approved Stadium in Uganda.

The other two Stadiums approved to host CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup preliminary round games are Nelson Mandela National Stadium and St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.
Uganda Premier League runners up NEC FC have been conducting their training sessions and friendly matches at Hamz stadium Nakivubo since last week .

NEC FC will host Kenyan side Nairobi United in the Preliminary Round of the CAF Confederation Cup between 19th- 21st of September 2025 .
Nairobi United FC earned their spot in the CAF Confederations Cup by winning the 2024-25 FKF Cup also Known as the Mozzart Bet Cup.

If NEC advances , they might face Al Ahly Madani from Sudan or Etoile De Sahel from Tunisia in the next round.

Hamz stadium Nakivubo has been used in different competitions most recently the CHAN Qualifiers , CECAFA U17 AFCON Zonal Qualifiers and it’s the home of Kyadondo in the prestigious Masaza Cup.
