Morocco has made history by winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup for the first time, defeating Argentina 2-0 in the final held in Santiago, Chile. Yassir Zabiri scored both goals, opening the scoring in the 12th minute with a sublime free kick and doubling Morocco’s lead in the 28th minute with a spectacular volley .

This victory marks a landmark moment for Moroccan football, reinforcing the country’s growing presence in international competitions. Morocco’s disciplined defense and organized double block frustrated Argentina’s attacks, while goalkeeper Gomis sealed the win with a decisive save in the 83rd minute .
The Atlas Cubs, coached by Mohamed Ouahbi, maintained tactical discipline and compact defensive lines throughout the match, frustrating Argentina’s attacks and holding on to their two-goal advantage until the final whistle. This win makes Morocco the first Arab nation and only the second African country to win the FIFA U-20 World Cup, following Ghana’s triumph in 2009
