Minnaert Is The New Head Coach Of Vipers SC.

Uganda Premier League Champions Vipers SC have appointed Belgian tactician Ivan Jacky Minnaert as their head coach on a permanent basis.
The 58 year old worked in East Africa before having served as the head coach of Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards and Rwanda Primus League Side Rayon Sports for two spells.
Despite guiding Vipers SC to a domestic double last season, John Luyinda and Fred Muhumuza will now serve as assistant coaches.

Minnaert won the Liberian Premier League title with Fassell FC last season. He also managed Spanish sides Union Estepona CF and CD San Roque , Djoliba in Mali , Black Leopards in South Africa, among others.

Vipers SC will represent Uganda in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2025-26 season and so far have signed three new players including Enock Ssebagala midfielder, defender Daslyva Bady from DR Congo and Odili Chukwuma who is a Nigerian.
