Media Confirms Departure From Lucera Calcio, Set to Join NEC FC.

Innocent Media, a Ugandan-born South Sudan international, has indeed confirmed his departure from Italian fourth-tier side ASD Lucera Calcio.

He expressed gratitude to the club for the experiences and growth he gained during his time there, saying, “Thank you, Lucera Calcio, for the unforgettable memories, invaluable lessons, and the personal and professional growth I’ve gained during my time here”.
Media joined Lucera Calcio in July 2023, and his departure comes after a year of playing for the Italian club.

During his time at Lucera Calcio, he was expected to seal a three-year contract, but it appears he didn’t stay for the full term.
Previous Club: Arua Hill Sports Club in the Uganda Premier League, where he scored nine league goals and registered two assists in the 2022/23 season in 17 matches.

International Career: Media has played for South Sudan’s U-20 and U-23 national teams and is a prospect for the senior team.
Media joins a list of Ugandan players who have played abroad, and at Lucera Calcio, he played alongside Oscar Mawa, another Ugandan player who joined the club in December 2022.
