Can Amaku Replicate Ivan Ahimbisibwe’s Goal Scoring Feat At URA FC.

URA Football Club has just announced the signing of prolific forward Fred Amaku from Kitara FC on a two-year contract.

Amaku, becomes Tax Collector’s third signing in the ongoing transfer window, following Kabon Living and goalkeeper Chrispas Kusiima, both also from Kitara FC.

“Joining URA FC is a big step in my career and I’m truly excited for this new challenge. This is a club with great ambition and tradition, and I want to be part of its success story. I have come here to work hard, score goals, and help the team compete at the very top. Amaku has featured in 79 matches and scored 29 goals for both Maroons FC and Kitara FC across the last three Uganda Premier League seasons.

Goal-scoring record

2022/23 (Maroons FC): 11 goals, 5 assists, and 3 Man of the Match awards

2023/24 (Maroons FC): 12 goals, 2 assists, and 5 Man of the Match awards

2024/25 (Kitara FC): 6 goals and 1 assist

Fred Amaku was also the topscorer of the FUFA Big League in the 2021/22 season with 15 goals while playing for Maroons Football Club.

With Amaku’s proven goal-scoring ability and dedication, URA FC fans can expect big things from their new signing as the team targets a strong 2025/26 campaign in both the league and domestic cup competitions and is expected to replace Ivan Ahimbisibwe who joined KCCA FC.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe last season netted 16 Uganda Premier League goals for URA Football Club three goals behind eventual golden boot winner Allan Okello.
