Ssingo Appoint New Head Coach

Ssingo Ssaza Football Team have confirmed the appointment of Allan Kabonge as their new Head Coach.

The announcement comes just days after the county parted ways with Coach Emmy Kisakye following a poor run of results in the 2026 Masaza Cup campaign.

Ssingo’s decision was sealed on Sunday at Mityana Ssaza Grounds, where they threw away victory against Mawogola.
Leading 1-0, the two-time champions conceded an equalizer two minutes into stoppage time to settle for a frustrating 1-1 draw — a result they were expected to win.

That draw leaves Ssingo in trouble. The record two-time champions have managed just one win this season, coming against Kabula at home, alongside two draws and one defeat.

Kabonge is an experienced tactician with a proven track record in Ugandan football.
He has previously handled Paidha Black Angels SC, Maroons FC, Onduparaka FC, and Masavu FC in the Uganda Premier League.

He is also no stranger to the Masaza Cup. Kabonge has previously coached Buweekula and Busujju, giving him deep knowledge of the tournament’s demands.

Ssingo will be hoping Kabonge’s experience can steady the ship and revive their push for a third Masaza Cup title.

Kabonge’s task begins on 19th this month at home as they face Bugerere.
