Bulemeezi Ssaza have officially confirmed the acquisition of forward from rivals Buweekula Ssaza FC Ssonko Shafik, finalizing the deal ahead of the highly anticipated Masaza Cup tournament. The player, who currently plies his trade with Uganda Sports Arena in the Buganda Regional League, is expected to add depth, striking force, and experience to Bulemeezi FC’s attacker .

Ssonko brings a lethal package to Bulemeezi FC, boasting pace, muscular build, agility, and a knack for winning aerial balls, coupled with a clinical eye for goal.

This season at Uganda Sports Arena, he has so far scored 10 goals from 22 matches and his side is fourth on the table with 40 points in the Buganda Region League.

The forward was instrumental as Buweekula won last year’s Masaza Cup title under the stewardship of Coach Felix Ssekabuzza. Bulemeezi will look to regroup and put up a decent performance having failed to make it past the group stages in the previous edition.

Bulemeezi recently confirmed Leo Ssekammatte as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming Masaza Cup 2026.
