KCCA FC Sign Ibrahim Kasule From Red Bull New York On Two-Year Deal

KCCA FC have announced the signing of midfielder Ibrahim Owen Kasule on a two-year contract.
The 22-year-old playmaker returns to the Uganda Premier League after a successful spell in the United States with Red Bull New York and Red Bull New York II.
Kasule scored 28 goals in 64 matches for NYRB II in MLS Next Pro, a run that earned him promotion to the senior MLS side. He made his MLS debut against New England Revolution and also had a loan stint at Connecticut United FC earlier this year.
The midfielder began his career at Wakiso Giants, where he enjoyed a breakout 2022/23 UPL season with 5 goals and 6 assists in 14 games. He also had a brief stint in Turkey with Ankara Keçiörengücü.
A versatile player, Kasule can operate as an attacking midfielder, central midfielder, or out wide. He earned his first Uganda Cranes call-up in September 2023 against Niger.
Speaking after the move, Kasule said:
“For me, joining KCCA FC feels like coming to a club with great ambition. I have gained invaluable experience and exposure during my time in the United States and abroad, and I want to use everything I have learned to help this team achieve great things. I cannot wait to play in front of the yellow army at Lugogo.”
KCCA FC Head Coach Brian Ssenyondo added:
“Kasule is a special talent and a player who perfectly fits the identity we are building at KCCA FC. His time in the MLS system has matured him significantly. Having a player of his caliber in midfield gives us new tactical dimensions.”
Kasule will join the squad immediately for preparations ahead of the 2026/27 season.
