New Home, New Chapter: Jeromy Kirya Joins Kitara FC On Two-Year Deal
Kitara Football Club has confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder _
Jeromy Kirya_ on a two-year deal, making him the Royals’ second attacking addition this transfer window after Martin Kizza.
The 28-year-old joins as a free agent following the expiration of his contract at BUL FC.
“The attacking midfielder joined as a free agent after his contract at BUL FC expired, and has now penned a two year deal that will keep him in Hoima until June 2028. Kitara beat off competition from several other Uganda Premier League clubs to secure his signature.”

Speaking to club media, Kirya said he is settling in well after five seasons in Jinja.
“It’s a new team and place for me after being in Jinja for quite some time, but I’m steadily settling in well. Let’s hope for the best experience,” Kirya said.
“There are many good players in the team and I definitely expect the competition to be high, but I believe I have what it takes to succeed here.”
Kirya brings plenty of top-flight experience to Hoima. He spent five seasons at BUL FC from 2021/22 to 2025/26, making 116 appearances, scoring 15 goals and providing 9 assists.
His career began at Jinja Secondary School before a three-year stint with Kirinya-Jinja SS in the Uganda Premier League starting in 2018/19.
Primarily an attacking midfielder capable of playing centrally, Kirya is regarded for his tenacity, consistency, long range shooting and strong character. At Kitara, he will be up against Frank Zaga Tumwesigye, Gaddafi Wahab and Alex Emmanuel Wasswa for a starting spot next season.
