Linglong Tire forwarded as main sponsor for City Tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge.
With just over a month to the 9th City Tyres East Africa Badminton Challenge slated for 14-18th October, Linglong has been forwarded to the prime role of sponsoring the event which attracts players majorly from East Africa Countries and the globe extense.
The crusual communication issued at the 2026 launch occured on Thursday 17 September at Mandela Group Company offices in Industrial Area at the event attended by Linglong Tire’s Tina Wang from China.
During the event she commended,”it is special to witness such a beautiful moment, Partnering with this sport which taps in young ages to the cooperates is phenomenal, as Linglong we are looking forward to continue our possible support to the people of Uganda. and also we are continuing to put the best products of our field on Ugandan Market.”
Badminton Uganda CEO Simon Mugabi announce the introduction of the Chinese event at the championship joining other categories which has been in consideration,”as we are marking the 10 years, we are introducing the Chinese category, we have been with juniors split in different age categories, the seniors, and the cooperates over the years.”
African female Top seed Fadilah Shimika Rafi credibly hailed the sponsor and empower young players to turn up in big numbers for this year’s championship,” this is were we start as badminton players, I believe a lot of young players must be interest in the championship, I am thankful to City tyres, this time Linglong Tire in particular.”
The Championship has see a lot young participant turning into global stars in the past decade and the main partners remains determined to continue associating to the cause which is at the extent beyond East Africa.
With the registration underway, more intense has been added up with an increase of Prizes including Cash, Trophies and others, in the last editions of 2025, a total of 1118 participants took part in the championship with the up coming one is hopped to have a raised number.
