Kigezi HomeBoyz Profit From Sell-On Clause After Seremba Move
Uganda Premier League new Entrants Kigezi HomeBoyz FC have once again benefited from a sell-on clause following the transfer of midfielder Joseph Seremba.
A few days ago, Kenya Premier League side Nairobi United announced the signing of the Ugandan attacking midfielder from NEC FC.
Seremba joined the Bugolobi-based side at the start of the 2025/26 season and impressed throughout the campaign, attracting interest from abroad.
The move to Nairobi United is reportedly valued at around $20,000, with Kigezi HomeBoyz entitled to 30% from the sell-on clause.
It is not the first time Kigezi HomeBoyz have earned from such an arrangement. At the start of last season, Charles Waibi also left NEC FC to join Nairobi United, with Kigezi receiving 30% from that deal as well.
Seremba had a stellar debut season in the Uganda Premier League, being named in the Team of the Season for 2025/26 and voted NEC FC’s Best Midfielder of the season.
The creative midfielder previously spent three seasons at Kigezi HomeBoyz, where he became the club’s all-time top scorer with 47 goal contributions – 30 goals and 17 assists.
