SC Villa Edge URA FC 3-0, Move to Second Place in League Standings

In a thrilling encounter at the FUFA Kadiba Stadium, SC Villa’s captain Misi Ssemugera scored the opening goal in the 22nd minute, capitalizing on a mistake by URA FC goalkeeper Crispus Kusiima.

The hosts continued to dominate the game, but URA FC’s Amaku had a goal ruled out for offside in the 27th minute, and later hit the crossbar four minutes later.

Despite creating several chances, URA FC failed to convert their opportunities in the first half. At halftime, the score remained 1-0 in favor of SC Villa.

The second half saw URA FC make a triple substitution, including the introduction of goalkeeper Muhammad Ssekeeba, who replaced Kusiima. However, Ssekeeba conceded a goal just two minutes into his appearance, as Najib Yiga scored his third goal of the season, assisted by Ibrahim Kasinde.

SC Villa’s Frank Mulimi sealed the win with a third goal in the 69th minute, his shot deflecting off URA FC defender Arthur Kiggundu.

Despite missing key players, including Geoffrey Lubangakane, who was sent off in their previous match, and Ssemayange also was suspended for today’s match , Owori, and Mpande, who are with the national team for the AFCON in Morocco, SC Villa secured a comfortable 3-1 win over URA FC.

With this victory, SC Villa moves to second place in the league standings with 20 points from 10 matches, while URA FC drops to ninth place with 11 points from 10 matches.
