Ruthless Kyadondo gives overdose to Busujju as they reach the verge of the quarterfinals Qualification.
In the Buganda Masaza Cup, Kyadondo played ruthlessly against Busujju in a 3-1 comeback at Wampewo, as the team reached within one point of quarterfinal qualification.
The game started with the visitors looking equal to the challenge, or even better, when they took the lead after Kyadondo goalkeeper Ashraf Bwabye punched the ball into his own net following a cross from captain Peter Ssenkunga.
With the goal coming in the 28th minute, Busujju remained in the lead 1-0 at halftime, largely thanks to goalkeeper Abubaker Egesa, who made three superb saves.

The game returned for the second stanza, and a few minutes later, coach Denis Kiyimba introduced Kenneth Ssebadduka for Abass Muluya before Pius Kaggwa scored from a direct corner kick from the left.
Later, Ssebadduka, commonly dubbed Nketiah, smashed the ball into Busujju’s top corner to put the hosts in the lead after 70 minutes of play. Dominant forward Sam Ssemugugu netted from Nketiah’s free kick eight minutes later, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
In the 81st minute, Pius Kaggwa intercepted the ball in the middle of the park to exchange passes with Ssebadduka, and the move was highlighted by Kaggwa rounding the Busujju goalkeeper to set up Ssemugugu for the third goal, which sealed the victory.

Upon the final whistle, Kaggwa, who was replaced by Hamza Kalibwami in the dying minutes, was named the official Man of the Match, although the fans chose defender Paul Kiryadda as their Man of the Match.
With the accolade, he noted, “I am thankful to God, fellow players, the coaches, and the fans. It is a mission accomplished, and we are still going. As a person, I am happy that I have had a good game, and I am happy as well that we played well as a team.”
Interim head coach Denis Kiyimba Omulangira, who recorded a third straight win since he stepped up for Bright Nyanzi, who took Rines High School to FEASSA games, noted on the win, “As the coaches, we are glad that our men worked under instructions. We went down in the game, and we instructed them to stay calm, and we managed to bounce back.

It is an important win for us; now it is like we have progressed to the quarterfinals because, in the last game, we only need one point, which we can easily achieve,” Omulangira added.
Team Manager Hajji Norman Ssemwanga Kaboggoza also noted, “I am happy that we have managed to take revenge on Busujju because it is the only team to beat us this campaign.
Now as we head to the last round of the group stage, we are set to turn our focus to the next stage, and we are hopefully ready for any team we will face. We are determined, and our only target is the trophy this year.”
The game attracted many coaches from the Uganda Premier League clubs, big names from the entertainment industry such as Mesach Semakula, and prominent politicians also attended.
