Kigezi HomeBoyz FC Sign 16-Year-Old Midfielder Osman Mayanja
Kigezi HomeBoyz FC have announced the signing of 16-year-old midfielder Osman Mayanja ahead of the club’s debut season in the Uganda Premier League.
Mayanja joins the “Gorillas” from Buganda Regional League side Masaka City FC on a two-year contract. He is widely regarded as one of Uganda’s brightest young prospects after impressing in the Buganda Masaza Cup for both Mawokota and Bugerere.
The technically gifted midfielder adds creativity, energy and long-term potential to the HomeBoyz squad as preparations intensify for the 2026/27 season.
His arrival is the club’s third signing of the transfer window, following goalkeeper Norman Angufindru from SC Villa and defender Gakumba Benjamin from Express FC.
Kigezi HomeBoyz will kick off their historic Uganda Premier League campaign on 29th August 2026 away to Lugazi FC at Lugazi FC Stadium, Najembe.
