Mato Brian Set To Join Uganda Premier League Giants
Former NEC FC right-back Brian Mato is on the verge of joining Uganda Premier League giants Express Football Club.
Mato is widely known for his pace, work rate, solid defending and ability as an overlapping full-back who delivers quality crosses. He is now understood to be in the books of Express FC as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
The defender has built his reputation through consistent performances across different levels of Ugandan football. He featured in the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup for Buluuli Ssaza FC, and also turned out for Proline FC.
Last season, Mato played for Soltilo Bright Stars FC in the FUFA Big League, where his energy and attacking contribution from right-back stood out. His experience in both the Masaza Cup and the Big League is expected to add depth and competition to the Express backline.
Mato also features for Acholi Province in the FUFA Drum .
If the move is completed, Mato will become one of Express FC’s key additions as the Red Eagles look to mount a serious challenge in the Uganda Premier League.
