TikTok FC booked their place in the Hamz Cup semifinals after edging Best of the Best FC 2-1 in a tightly contested quarterfinal at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo War Memorial Grounds, on October 10.

The tournament favourites continued their impressive run, taking the lead just eight minutes in when Aksam Miod ‘Nishata’ won a penalty that was converted by Ashiraf Kyakuwa.

With Kyakuwa, Miod, and Farouk Tumwesigye pulling the strings and entertaining the crowd, Best of the Best FC remained competitive, but TikTok FC held a 1-0 advantage at halftime.

Best of the Best returned stronger after the break and equalized 10 minutes into the second half through Hamid Boya, whose spectacular effort left TikTok FC goalkeeper Adrian Mukwanga helpless after he had denied them on several occasions.

TikTok FC had to weather pressure before regaining control. Kyakuwa missed three clear chances before defender Elijah headed home Miod’s well-taken corner less than 10 minutes to full time to secure a 2-1 victory and a place in the semifinals.

In the semifinals, TikTok FC join NURMAK Life Team, who eliminated Kafumbe United with a 1-0 win. The quarterfinals continue on October 17, with Block F taking on Born Talent FC Mbuya, while the last quarterfinal on October 24 will pit Man United Fans UG against Tororo Boys.
