Former Uganda Cranes Midfielder Takes Helm At St Noa Girls FC

St Noa Girls FC, a new team in the Finance Trust FUFA Women’s Super League, has appointed Tony Mawejje as their head coach for the upcoming season.

Mawejje, a former Uganda Cranes midfielder, brings valuable experience to the role, having previously served as assistant coach at Kampala Queens WFC in the FUFA Women’s Super League and Wakiso Giants FC in the Uganda Premier League.

Replaces Jimmy Kintu: Mawejje takes over from Jimmy Kintu, who left St Noa Girls FC to join Calvary Midigo FC in the Uganda Premier League.

St Noa’s Promotion: St Noa Girls FC earned promotion to the top-flight league after winning the FUFA Women Elite League 2024-25 season title under Jimmy Kintu’s guidance.

Star Players: The team boasts talented players like forward Slyvia Kabene, who was voted MVP, and goalkeeper Nakirya Lilian, who was named best goalkeeper in the Elite League last season.

St Noa GFC finished the 2024-25 FUFA Women Elite League unbeaten conceding just one goal .

New Signings: St Noa Girls FC has added players like Faridah Namirimu from Wakiso Hill WFC and Dorcus Lwalisa from Olila HS WFC to strengthen their squad.

Back Mawejje served as assistant coach for Kampala Queens WFC
