Yanga Make It Five In A Row: Young Africans Crowned 2025-26 NBC Premier League Champions

Young Africans Sports Club have done it again. Yanga were crowned 2025-26 NBC Tanzania Premier League champions after a statement 3-0 win over JKT Tanzania on the final day — all they needed to wrap up the title.

Prince Dube, Max Nzengeli, and Depu each got on the scoresheet to deliver a dominant finish and secure the club’s 27th league championship.

The title extends Yanga’s record list of championships: 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1974, 1981, 1983, 1987, 1991, 1996, 1997, 2000, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012–13, 2014–15, 2015–16, 2016–17, 2021–22, 2022–23, 2023–24, 2024–25 & 2025-26.

It’s also five consecutive Premier League crowns for YoungAfricans, underlining their current era of dominance.

Ugandan midfielder Allan Okello was a key figure after his January move from Vipers SC. He ends the season with 14 goals and 7 assists, and quickly became one of Yanga’s most important attacking outlets.
