Young Africans SC delivered a commanding performance today in the NBC Tanzania Premier League, securing a comfortable 3-0 victory over Coastal Union at the KMC Complex.

Ugandan star Allan Okello was the standout performer on the afternoon, producing a man-of-the-match display with two goals and an assist. Okello opened the scoring in the 18th minute, calmly finishing off a well-timed pass from Prince Dube to give Yanga an early lead. The midfielder then doubled his tally in the 62nd minute with a spectacular strike from outside the penalty area, leaving the Coastal Union goalkeeper with no chance

Okello later turned provider in the 86th minute, setting up Max Nzengeli for Yanga’s third goal of the game to seal a convincing win. The Ugandan international now takes his season tally to five goals.

The victory comes just days after Young Africans SC parted ways with Portuguese head coach Pedro Gonçalves earlier this week. Despite the managerial change, the team showed no signs of disruption under the guidance of interim coaches Abdihamid Moalin and Patrick Mabedi.

With this result, Young Africans SC consolidate their position at the summit of the NBC Tanzania Premier League standings. They now sit on 54 points from 22 matches.
