NEC FC, a Nakawa-based side, started in the Nakawa DFA Fifth Division League around 2018 .

Ssakali Rajab went down in the records as their first ever coach later became the club CEO.

Bahizi Moses ‘ Tata Brian became NEC FC first ever Captain and currently among the technical team .

They quickly earned promotion to the Fourth Division and Regional League.

Rise to Prominence
By 2022, NEC FC earned promotion to the FUFA Big League under Coach Mike Skills Lukyamuzi.

In the 2022-23 season, they earned promotion to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL).

UPL Performance
In their first season in the UPL, NEC FC finished sixth on the board with 48 points. They also emerged as Uganda Cup runners-up, losing 1-0 to Kitara FC.
