Chief Executive Officer Atugonza added, ‘This is the biggest game in the history of Kitara Football Club because it is our first time reaching this stage, and the club we are hosting has a rich history; it is a day to experience greatness.’
Marketing and Events Manager Kaahwa assured fans of great hospitality, emphasizing the Club President’s call for the respectful treatment of fans and other stakeholders: ‘We have ensured easy access to everything, which we hope will be useful during the event. Fans and other stakeholders will not face difficulties; we will publish the list of hotels, restaurants, and hostels to access at users’ own funds.
Kitara Football Club is hosting the first leg before travelling to Egypt as they aim to reach the first group stage in their history.
KCCA FC remains the last Ugandan football club to reach the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, when they defeated Al Masry of Egypt on penalties 4-3 after tying 1-1 on aggregate in 2017.
