With a 1-0 lead over Bugerere, Kyaggwe Ssaza Chief Owekitiibwa Matovu Vincent ‘Ssekiboobo’, together with the chairman he appointed to lead the Kyaggwe football team in the 2026 Airtel Buganda Masaza Cup, are rallying Kyaggwe fans to pack Ntenjeru Ssaza grounds.
Ssekiboobo noted, “We appreciate our fans for the massive turnout in our first leg here at Mukono Bishops. Now, we are going to Bugerere; even if it means sleeping in Kayunga, I call upon our fans to do that. You have supported the team from the beginning, and this is among the key moments of the campaign.”
Kyaggwe Football Team Management Chairman Honorable Jimmy Kanaabi also elaborated on his boss’s message, “Our fans have been an influential force. Much of the time we play away from home, we outnumber the home team. Our first leg brought the biggest number of fans, and we believe we will have the same in Ntenjeru.”
Following the first leg played at Mukono Bishops, on Sunday, October 4, Kyaggwe will travel to the Ntenjeru Ssaza playground to visit Bugerere in the Plascon-sponsored Buganda Masaza Cup semifinal return leg, which will decide which team reaches the 2026 Buganda Masaza Cup final.
As the road to Muteesa II Wankulukuku Stadium continues, Gomba is leading Butambala 2-0 from the Kabulasoke playground, with the return leg coming on Saturday, October 3, at Kibibi SS playground, the home of Butambala.
