Martin Kizza Joins Kitara FC on Two-Year Deal

Uganda Cup holders Kitara FC have announced the signing of winger Martin Kizza on a two-year deal.
He becomes the club’s second signing of the transfer window, following Bonney Christopher.

The left-footed winger joins the Royals as a free agent after his contract with South Sudanese side El Merriekh Bentiu came to an end.

Versatile and comfortable on either flank, Kizza brings experience, competition, and continental pedigree. His arrival comes at a crucial time as Kitara prepare for CAF Confederation Cup football this September.

Domestically, Kizza has featured for Vipers SC, SC Villa, KCCA FC, and Express FC, and has also represented the Uganda national team.

Abroad, he has gained further experience with El Merriekh Bentiu in South Sudan, Fasil Kenema in Ethiopia, and Royal Eagles and Free State Stars in South Africa.

Speaking after completing the move, Kizza said:
“I’m delighted to join Kitara FC and I hope we continue winning many matches and titles together. Kitara is my new team, but I’ve worked with some of these people before, so I already feel at home.”

He added:
“Kitara has already shown that it is an ambitious team. They have done well locally and I want to work hard with my teammates so that we can also compete better on the continent.”

Kizza won’t be short of familiar faces at Hoima. He previously worked with head coach Wasswa Bbosa at Express FC, and has played alongside Murushid Juuko, Isa Lumu, and Frank Zaga Tumwesigye.

Known for his pace, physicality, dangerous crosses and dribbling, Kizza is expected to add depth and competition on the wings. He will go head-to-head with Kabon Living, Jimmy Kalema, John Bosco Byaruhanga and Chrispus Asiki for a starting spot next season.
