Former Uganda Cranes Assistant Coach Named SC Villa’s Technical Director.

2023-24 Uganda Premier League champions Sports Club Villa have today announced a series of strategic appointments to it’s management and technical team with immediate effect.

Former Uganda Cranes Assistant Coach Moses Basena has been named as the technical director in the statement released by SC Villa.

Moses Basena last season served as the head coach of of Kampala Regional League side Proline Football Club .

Basena has coaching experience dating back to 1996 . He also served as the head coach of SC Villa before , Express FC , Saints FC , KCCA FC , URA FC, Simba SC in Tanzania, Sunrise FC in Rwanda among others

Basena guided URA FC to League success in 2009 .

Dan Mubiru and Hakim Ssenkumba both former Villa midfielders have also been appointed team manager and youth team coach respectively .

Hakim Ssenkumba worked as a trainer at Wakiso Giants FC.

Former SC Villa goalkeeper Sam Kawalya has been appointed as the new goalkeeping coach while Samuel Tusingwire is the performance analyst.
