Deo Kasozi has made a triumphant return as President of Kitara Football Club, just four months after stepping down from the role. Kasozi’s comeback was announced at a press conference held at Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala.
“During his re-election speech, Deo Kasozi outlined his vision for Kitara FC’s future, emphasizing sustainability as a key focus area. ‘This time around, our primary concern will be ensuring the club’s sustainability. While winning games is crucial, we won’t be under pressure to achieve immediate results at all costs,’ Kasozi stated.
“He further elaborated on plans to engage fans through registration and build a sustainable team. ‘We will also prioritize fan engagement, encouraging them to register and support the club. Our goal is to create a sustainable team that can thrive in the long term.’
“Kasozi also mentioned Sam Ssimbwa’s role in shaping players. ‘Sam Ssimbwa has visited Hoima twice as a consultant, sharing his expertise with our players. Although he’s our former coach, we don’t anticipate making changes to the technical team. Instead, Ssimbwa will provide valuable insights to help our players improve and tap into his experience’.”
