Taddeo Lwanga Signs Off at Vipers SC After Title-Winning Season

Taddeo Lwanga has officially bid farewell to Vipers SC, bringing an end to his second spell with the Kitende-based club. The midfielder rejoined the Venoms at the start of the 2025-26 season from Rwanda’s APR FC, and made an immediate impact as Vipers went on to clinch the 2025-26 Uganda Premier League title. His experience in the middle of the park was key as the club sealed silverware in front of their home fans.
In a heartfelt farewell message, Lwanga thanked the club and its supporters for the memories. “Filled with gratitude and appreciation. Thank you, Venoms, for an unforgettable journey. Vipers SC will always be home for me and my family. Much love,” he wrote.

Lwanga’s career has spanned East Africa and beyond. Before his return to Vipers, he featured for SC Villa and Express FC in Uganda, Tanta FC in Egypt, Simba SC in Tanzania, and APR FC in Rwanda. Now, he is expected to take the next step in his journey with Kenya Premier League giants AFC Leopards, where he will look to bring the same leadership and winning mentality that helped Vipers to the crown.
As he moves on, Lwanga leaves behind more than just a league medal. He departs as a champion who helped restore Vipers to the top of Ugandan football, and as a player who says the club will always remain home.
