Former Vipers SC Head Coach Ivan Minnaert Takes Over At Jwaneng Galaxy
Botswana Premier League side Jwaneng Galaxy FC have appointed Ivan Minnaert as their new Head Coach on a one-year contract, with an option to extend.
The Belgian tactician arrives with a reputation built across Europe and Africa, and most recently in Uganda where he led Vipers SC to an unbeaten league title.
Minnaert, a UEFA Pro Licence holder and Sporting Director Diploma graduate, brings more than 25 years of international coaching experience.
His CV includes leading Vipers to the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League crown without losing a game, winning the Liberian Premier League, and guiding a Rwandan side into the CAF Champions League group stage for the first time in their history. He also has CAF Champions League experience at the highest level.
Jwaneng Galaxy Football Club is a Botswana football club based in Jwaneng.
The club currently plays in the Botswana Premier League and it was founded in 2014
Jwaneng Galaxy finished second last season with 59 points from 30 matches 16 points behind eventual champions Gaborone United
