Masaza Cup Semi-Finals: Kyagwe and Ssingo Take Commanding Leads
In the 2025 Masaza Cup semi-finals, Kyagwe and Ssingo seized control with crucial wins in the first leg.

Kyagwe Edges Buweekula 1-0
Geoffrey Ssenyonga’s 73rd-minute goal* proved decisive at Mubende PTC playground.
Kyagwe’s Simon Peter Mugerwa will be pleased with his team’s performance, especially given their history with Buweekula.

Buweekula’s home advantage wasn’t enough to secure a win, leaving them with an uphill task next weekend.
Ssingo Overcomes Bugerere 2-1 at Ntejeru Playground.
This was Bugerere’s first home loss in this year’s Masaza Cup edition.

Henry Wamala who recently joined Uganda Premier League sidd Express FC gave Bugerere the lead in the 18th minute, but Ssingo fought back through Shaban Kayongo’s equalizer in the 41st minute and Ismail Ramtalla scored the winning goal 16 minutes to stoppage time.

Ssingo’s 2-1 advantage puts them in a strong position heading into the second leg.
Coach Basto Ssemuyaba and Hussein Mbalangu’s tactics paid off, despite playing away from home.
Both Kyagwe and Ssingo will look to consolidate their leads in the second leg, setting up potentially thrilling conclusions to the finals
