Chaapa League Star Joins Ntugasaze FC

New StarTimes Uganda Premier League entrants Ntugasaze Football Club have completed the signing of attacking winger Nathan Clarke Atamba. The move adds more firepower to Ntugasaze’s squad as they prepare for life in the top flight, and signals the club’s intent to compete from day one.

Atamba joins Ntugasaze. His journey has taken him across different levels of football. He first came through the ranks at Mbarara Sports Academy before making a big move abroad in 2019 to join USA-based side Minneapolis Football Club, where he spent two years developing his game.

In 2021 he returned home and had a brief stint with Arua-based Onduparaka Football Club, gaining valuable experience in the Uganda Premier League.

Known for his direct style of play, Atamba brings exactly what Ntugasaze need on the flanks. He has the ability to take on defenders one-on-one, create chances for teammates, break defensive lines with his pace, and chip in with goals himself. That versatility is expected to give the team more options in attack as they adjust to the demands of the Premier League.

The winger becomes Ntugasaze’s fourth signing of the current transfer window. He joins Jimmy Ndalambi, Tevin Kevin Kyeyune, and Ibrahim Ssengoba in committing to the club’s project. With each addition, Ntugasaze are steadily building a squad with a mix of experience and youthful energy ahead of their debut season.

For Atamba, the move represents another step forward in his career. From academy football, to playing abroad, to the Chaapa League and now the Uganda Premier League, he will be looking to use his experience and flair to help Ntugasaze establish themselves among Uganda’s elite.
