Kampala Region resumed yesterday with a couple of matches, showcasing exciting football action. At Kyambogo College playground, coach Bart’s side Born Talent were held at home 1-1 against PCCP FC.

Born Talent began the match on a higher note and as early as the fourth minute, attacking midfielder Kayongo gave them the lead.

After a defensive mix-up, agile forward Alfred Joshua capitalized on their mistake and slotted the ball into the far corner, equalizing for PCCP FC. Combative midfielder Wagana Eric was voted Man of the Match in this particular encounter.

Black Stars FC Edge Out Buganda Road

Black Stars FC claimed a 4-3 victory over Buganda Road away from home.

Benon Lutaaya gave Black Stars an early lead in the 9th minute, with Jaliru Zimula equalizing for Buganda Road six minutes later. Halftime ended 1-1 in favor of both teams.

Augustine Balinya scored the second goal for Black Stars FC nine minutes after the restart of the second half, with Jariru Zimula equalizing again for Buganda Road, completing his brace. Kiggundu Arafat scored the third goal for Buganda Road in the 77th minute.

Benon Lutaaya equalized for Black Stars FC five minutes later, completing his brace. One minute into stoppage time, Sam Ssekito scored the winning goal for Black Stars FC.

Nsambya SC Share Spoils with Wembley Boys FC

At Yes Centre Nsambya Playground, Nsambya SC shared spoils 3-3 with Wembley Boys FC in a thrilling encounter.

Ewagu converted from the spot as early as the sixth minute for Nsambya SC, with veteran Tony Odur doubling their lead 12 minutes later.

Hamidu Nsubuga pulled one back for Wembley Boys FC in the 31st minute from a penalty kick.

Halftime ended 2-1 in favor of Nsambya SC.

Muyomba extended Nsambya SC’s lead 10 minutes after the restart of the second half.

In the 78th minute, Hamidu Nsubuga scored his second goal for Wembley Boys FC. Nine minutes into stoppage time, Hamidu Nsubuga completed his hat-trick with his third goal of the day, ensuring Wembley Boys FC picked up a point.

Lungujja Galaxy Draw with Ntinda United

Lungujja Galaxy shared spoils with last season’s runners-up Ntinda United. New signing Silky Winger Shafic Kaweesi, who joined Lungujja Galaxy from New Life Katereke, opened the scoring for the home side in the 64th minute.

Umar Niyonshima equalized for Ntinda United 10 minutes later.

Mutungo Thrash Water FC

Elsewhere, Geoffrey Ssali and Deogratious Adule both netted a brace each as Mutungo put four goals past Water FC. Water FC made some changes, bringing in new tactician and former Crested Cranes head coach Charles Ayiekoh, who replaced Binamugisha Viali.
