URA FC have bolstered their midfield options with the signing of Elvis Ssekajugo from Express FC on a two-year contract.

The Tax Collectors confirmed the deal as part of their ongoing recruitment drive, with Ssekajugo becoming the club’s second signing of the transfer window after the arrival of Muhammad Kyeyune.

The Tax Collectors are clearly intent on building a younger, more dynamic squad as they prepare for another push in the Uganda Premier League and domestic cups.

Ssekajugo arrives with a reputation for creativity, energy, and technical quality. The midfielder is known for his tactical awareness and ability to dictate play, attributes that URA’s technical team believe will add real value in the middle of the park.

His potential has also been recognized on the international stage. Ssekajugo was part of the Uganda U18 team that won the CECAFA U18 Championship in Kenya in 2023, and he has since featured for the Uganda U20 side, the Hippos. That experience at youth level highlights both his talent and his readiness to step up to senior football.

It is a great opportunity for me to be part of a club with such a strong history and ambition. I am ready to work hard, give my best, and contribute towards the success of the team,” he said. The midfielder added that he is eager to learn from his new teammates and coaches, and to embrace the high expectations that come with playing for the Tax Collectors.

He also sent a message to the URA faithful, promising commitment and fight in the club colors. “To the Tax Collectors family, thank you for welcoming me. I promise to give everything on the pitch, fight for the badge, and work together with my teammates to bring success to this club.”
