Vipers SC Confirm Departure of Goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza

Vipers SC can confirm that goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza has left the club after four seasons.
The Congolese shot-stopper joined the Venoms in 2022 from OC Bukavu Dawa on a four-year employment contract, and departs having established himself as a huge personality both on and off the pitch.
In a club statement released on Thursday, Vipers SC placed on record their sincere thanks to Mudekereza for his service and wished him the very best for the future. “Thank you, Asante sana, Mude! ❤️” the club wrote, reflecting the affection he earned during his time at Kitende.

During his four years at Vipers SC, Mudekereza was part of one of the most successful periods in the club’s history. He leaves as a three-time Uganda Premier League champion and a two-time Uganda Cup winner.
While competition for the goalkeeping spot was always high, the Congolese international remained a valued member of the squad and contributed to the Venoms’ dominance in Ugandan football. His experience, professionalism, and character in the dressing room will be missed by both teammates and supporters.

Mudekereza becomes the second goalkeeper to exit Vipers SC this week, following the confirmed departure of Bashir Ssekagya on Wednesday. With two senior keepers moving on, Vipers will now look to reshape their goalkeeping department ahead of the new season as they target more silverware in the Uganda Premier League and on the continent.
