Ugandan Trio Shine as East Bengal Women Triumph in Asian Women’s Champions League
In a thrilling match at the Hankou Culture Sports Centre in Wuhan, East Bengal Women secured a convincing 3-1 victory over Bam Khaton Women from Iran, with three Ugandan players making significant contributions.

The match got off to a flying start for East Bengal Women, with Indian defender Shilky Hemam scoring in the 4th minute to give them the lead.
The Ugandan duo of Nababi Aminah and Fazil Ikwaput then combined to double the lead in the 32nd minute, with Aminah’s precision pass setting up Ikwaput for the goal.

Bam Khaton Women pulled one back through a Mona Hamoudi penalty, but Resty Nanziri sealed the win for East Bengal Women with a thrilling goal in the 88th minute.
Nanziri, Aminah, and Ikwaput all played full-time for East Bengal Women, showcasing their skills and helping their team top the group B table with three points from one match.
East Bengal Women will look to continue their winning streak when they face Chinese side Wuhan Jiangda on November 20 at the same venue.
