Kitara FC Ends BUL FC’s 23 UPL Match Unbeaten Run
Kitara Football Club put an end to BUL FC’s impressive 24-match unbeaten run in the Startimes Uganda Premier League, defeating them 1-0 at Royal Park Butema.
The 2025 Masaza Cup MVP and Topscorer, Kalema Jimmy, scored the only goal for Kitara FC in the 11th minute of the first half, which proved enough to secure the win.

BUL FC was reduced to ten men as Tarbin Kevin was sent off in the 29th minute, and they struggled to recover from the setback. This was BUL FC’s first UPL loss since December 4, 2024, when they lost 2-0 to UPDF FC.
Kitara FC has now defeated BUL FC twice since December 4, 2024, having previously beaten them 1-0 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinals on April 20, courtesy of Kiggundu Arthur’s 86th-minute free kick.
Waswa Bbosa’s Kitara FC side currently sits fourth on the table with 10 points after six matches, while BUL FC is sixth with 10 points in seven matches. Both teams will return to action on the 27th, with BUL FC hosting Entebbe UPPC FC and Kitara FC visiting Police FC.
