FUFA Hands Multiple Clubs Point, Goal Deductions And Fines For Misconduct

The FUFA Disciplinary Panel issued its decisions on 1st April 2026, detailing sanctions and rulings for four football incidents that occurred in March 2026 involving various clubs and provincial teams in Uganda.
DISCIPLINARY PANEL DECISIONS – 1st April 2026
- Kiyinda Boys FC vs Kigezi Homeboyz FC – 25th March 2026
Acts of hooliganism and physical violence were reported after the FUFA Big League match played at Betham City Recreation Centre, Kiwenda. The FUFA Disciplinary Panel sanctioned Kiyinda Boys FC with an immediate deduction of two points and two goals, and a fine of UGX 1,000,000 payable within 14 days. The club also received a suspended deduction of two points and two goals for 15 days and is required to identify and provide full particulars of the perpetrators within the same period; failure to do so will enforce the suspended sanction. The club has further been warned regarding its future conduct.
- Amus WFC vs Kawempe Muslim LFC – 21st March 2026
Following acts of hooliganism during the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League match played at Amus College Stadium, the FUFA Disciplinary Panel sanctioned Amus College WFC with an immediate deduction of two points and two goals, and a fine of UGX 500,000 payable within 14 days. The club also received a suspended deduction of two points and two goals for 15 days and is required to identify and provide full particulars of the individual who assaulted the referee within the same period; failure to do so will enforce the suspended sanction. The club has further been warned regarding its future conduct.
- St. Noa Girls Zana FC vs Olila HS WFC – 22nd March 2026
Olila HS WFC failed to honour the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League fixture. The FUFA Disciplinary Panel ruled that Olila HS WFC forfeits the match, with the result awarded to St. Noa Girls Zana FC. The club has also been sanctioned with an immediate deduction of three points and three goals and warned that any further failure to honour fixtures will result in exclusion from the league and additional sanctions.
- Buganda Province vs Tooro Province – 22nd March 2026
The FUFA Disciplinary Panel received a petition from Tooro Province alleging that Buganda Province fielded ineligible players who failed to present valid licences during the FUFA Drum match played at Lugazi Stadium. Upon review and confirmation from the FUFA Competitions Department, the Panel established that all Buganda Province players were duly licensed and eligible to play. Consequently, the petition by Tooro Province was dismissed.
The decisions reflect FUFA’s commitment to maintaining discipline and fair play in Ugandan football, imposing appropriate penalties for misconduct and ensuring proper enforcement of regulations to uphold the integrity of the competitions.
