The Nakaseke District Football Association 5th Division League kicked off Match Day 8 with a string of decisive results that reshaped the table and delivered the kind of drama grassroots football thrives on. From commanding victories to crucial goals, the day highlighted both the attacking quality and competitive balance running through the division.
Semuto United FC announced themselves as serious contenders with a clinical 3-0 dismantling of Mpwedde United FC.

Ivan Kayongo led the charge with a well-taken brace, showcasing composure in front of goal, while Bob Kyeyune added a third to complete the rout. The win moved Semuto United to third on the log with 15 points from eight matches, keeping them firmly in the promotion hunt as the season builds momentum.
Kapeke BB FC also impressed with a dominant 3-0 away win over Mijinje United.

David Semawempe was the star of the show, netting twice to underline his growing influence, and Eddie Sentomero capped the performance with a third goal to seal the thrashing. The result lifted Kapeke BB to second place, level on 15 points, while Mijinje remain rooted to the bottom with just one point from eight games in a campaign that continues to test their resolve.
The biggest shift came at the top, where Kikamulo United edged Kikandwa 2-1 to claim the summit.

Eddy Mugyenyi was the difference-maker, scoring both goals for Kikamulo to keep his side’s title push on track. Henry Kalyoowa pulled one back for Kikandwa, but it wasn’t enough to deny Kikamulo the points. The victory propelled Kikamulo to 17 points from eight matches, putting them in pole position, while Kikandwa slipped to fourth with 11 points after a tightly contested encounter.
Match Day 8 delivered goals, table movement, and a clear signal that the Nakaseke 5th Division title race is heating up.

Kikamulo United now lead the pack, but with Semuto and Kapeke BB both on 15 points, the margin for error is slim. As the season progresses, consistency will be key, and the performances from Kayongo, Semawempe, and Mugyenyi suggest the battle for promotion will go down to the wire.
