Allan Kabonge, affectionately known as “The Messiah,” has parted ways with Young Elephants FC to take the helm at Iganga United Football Club, a FUFA Big League side struggling to avoid relegation. The club officially announced his appointment, highlighting his extensive expertise and experience in local football as a key factor in their decision.

“We officially announce the appointment of Coach @AllanKabonge aka ‘The Messiah,’ who will join the club on Monday. With his extensive expertise and experience in local football, we are confident he will make a significant impact. One team, one mission,” the statement read.

Kabonge’s mission is clear: help Iganga United avoid relegation and secure a spot in the FUFA Big League for the next season.

Iganga United currently sits 11th on the table with 25 points from 21 matches, just one place above the relegation zone. Iganga United tomorrow will face Wakiso Giants away game at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo, who are one place below Iganga United FC with 23 points from 21 matches.

Kabonge brings a wealth of experience to the table, having previously managed several clubs, including Onduparaka Football Club, Masavu FC, and Entebbe UPPC FC, among others.
