Big League Buzz: Ntugasaze, Paidha, and Blacks Power Shine in Match Day 14
The FUFA Big League commenced with match day 14 at various venues, showcasing thrilling encounters and unexpected twists.
At Kira Road Police Arena, Ntugasaze Football Club secured a 1-0 victory over Soltilo Bright Stars FC, thanks to a 60th-minute goal from winger James Jarieko. This win marked Ntugasaze FC’s first match at Kira Road Police Arena, having shifted from Mityana Ssaza Ground.
Meanwhile, at Ebenezer University ground, Blacks Power Football Club claimed a 1-0 win over Kigezi HomeBoyz FC, courtesy of Emmanuel Jonah Oketch’s 72nd-minute strike. Catda FC, on the other hand, began their life without Coach George Best Nsimbe and his assistant Hamidu Kibirango with a 2-1 loss to Nebbi Central FC at Bugolobi Coffee grounds.
The visitors scored two quick goals in the second half, with Sabiri Edema and Majid Yasim netting in the 51st and 54th minutes, respectively. Tevin Kyeyune pulled one back for Catda FC in the 75th minute.

Kaaro Karungi FC defeated Wakiso Giants Football Club 1-0 away from home, with Moses Baale Sseremba scoring the only goal in the 33rd minute.
Iganga United FC also secured a 1-0 win over Bunyaruguru United FC, thanks to Eric Wazuzibu’s lone goal. At Mbale City Stadium, hosts Mbale Heroes Football Club claimed a 2-1 victory over Young Elephants FC, with Hakiram Shafiq Muzanyi scoring the winning goal in the 77th minute.

In the West Nile Derby, Paidha Black Angels SC defeated Onduparaka FC 2-0 at Barokoro Stadium. David Obedmoth and Joel Jangeyambe netted for Paidha Black Angels SC, securing a crucial win for coach Mark Twinamatisko’s side.
In other matches, Kataka Football Club edged Kiyinda Boys Football Club 2-1, with Samuel Watuwa and Isaac Owiny scoring for Kataka FC.
